@jeffreyrb03-gmail okay so my current plan is to have it write to the sheet in a specific cell and use an extension in sheets to either copy the raw data (one cell for it all, using join with and some stuff to prevent the data from escaping, if you want to know what I mean then ask) to one cell, and have the user just read all the data and format it on the client, or I can have the user post data to a random place in a receiving sheet and the extension copy’s all the data that the client posted into the sheet

@s9205307-810c679a tetris with physics doesn’t sound like a good idea unless it’s an experiment or something. Like what if there’s some small disturbance now you have angled tetrominoes/pieces. Also that would make the game’s current gameplay much harder such as techniques where you try to put something in a tight place by flipping it very quickly before it hits the ground or other blocks would now become obsolete/not work at all.

Plus for security with perms you can lock a table if you still want it writable, I use that just to ensure I don’t wipe my data tables

This is a fun game.

So let’s solve one problem at a time. To limit the rotation speed, you can try to use a loop to repeatedly rotate the sprite a little bit towards the target’s direction.

Here is a demo project:

As you can see, in a forever loop, we take 3 steps:

calculate angle difference between current direction and the desired direction normalize that difference to within -180 and 180 rotate for up to the speed limit

I just wanted to mention it because it was slightly annoying that I gotta take all sheets references in a copy for it to be sharable

I feel like just removing it would be the best option because there aren’t any other sound fx for the editor (and if there are then they’re obscure because I’ve never heard any others)

We try not to change any feature that’s inherited from MIT Scratch, since we want to make the transition from MIT Scratch to creaticode very smooth. If, for example, a Scratch tutorial talks about a font, but the students see a different menu, then it might cause confusion.

On the other hand, we can definitely try to enhance the font list for widget styling. Your list looks great as a starting point, and we will research if we can add the original Scratch fonts into our list as well.

There is one issue that you need to fix. Since you are working with the 2D physice engine, you need to use blocks from the “2D physics” category. Currently it is using the “apply force” block for 3D physics. You can tell the color is different for 3D related blocks.

@info-creaticode I don’t know if that will like stop the user from pressing the green flag and resetting their progress in say, a drawing app. The green flag usually resets things, which is it’s purpose, like resetting widgets and whatnot. However, some method to like give a prompt that says “You have unsaved work in this project, are you sure you want to reset it?” would be good, but i don’t think a hat block would logically make sense for this thing.

@tyller_ Ohh, that’s pretty clever! I was thinking about using a sprite for that in the way you said but it felt sort of redundant to put a small amount of code in a sprite and make whole new messages and variables just for that simple function.

I haven’t been working on YN3D lately because I’m a bit burnt out, instead working on my iFrame net browser project. I’m using this so that if you try to go to a URL, it will check if its safe first with the read URL as markdown block and here: https://transparencyreport.google.com/safe-browsing/search?url= (url) . However, this takes too long sometimes, so I just wanna make it if it takes too long to run that code then it just stops.

yes, in theory, the “carve” block would allow you to remove all other models and keep only the model you need. However, it will be extremely slow given the complexity of the existing model collection

It should not be used to store real secrets like passwords. The reason is that this block runs on the “client” side (the user’s browser), so when the data is sent over the Internet to the webserver, it is exposed in the network package.

However, for most games/projects you build for learning, it should be good enough.

The “private” mode is meant to store data specific for one user. Say 100 users are running your shared game. Suppose each of them can specify a secret passcode that can be used to save or load game progress. You can use this block and use the “private” mode, so the data is separated by user ID, and 2 users can’t see each other’s data.

The categories are fixed as they are used as filters on top of the model library window. They are not that important, since most users simply search for models by name Sketchfab charges money for most of their models, so there is no API to allow our users to freely use their 3D models.
