I am going to be offline more than what I used to in CreatiCode. The reason why is because this site isn’t for me anymore and I’ve found more advanced gaming sites like Flowlab.io. Occasionally I will check back on my account and maybe edit some of my games. It’s been fun being here and I thank you all for the fun time.

Hello everyone! Welcome to the first-ever Freestyle Gaming Creaticode Competition!
In this challenge, you, the contestants, will be making a Creaticode game!
Requirements:

Must be a playable & readable game

Instructions on how to play are not required, but recommended.

Only one game may be submitted

Must be 2D; top-down, side-view, and in-depth games are allowed (in-depth meaning layers to make 2D look 3D)

Submit your games through here (or another platform/site as requested)

Options for games are: Minigame, story, survival, escape room, puzzle, defense, platformer, simulator, tyсoon (no “click the object” games), etc.

For the best playing experience, we request that the games be 20+ minutes long to play
The deadline will be October 30th!

Bot Test update log :Dposted in Project Showcase
Oh man, I’m so glad to announce that after almost a month, Bot Test has officially reached BETA VERSION!
Updates for Ver. 1.0-1.1 will be listed here:
- Sandbox mode is added, along with an early access gun in the sandbox (press Z)
- free enemy spawning in sandbox mode
- New enemy is added: ranged
– Ranged may be nerfed to 0.5dmg instead of 1.0dmg. - Endless now has two modes, new version and old version
– The new version features everything added in beta and continuing
– Old version will remain the OG 0.9 version of the game - Added sounds for many of the actions that occur in the game
- Added foreground for seeable movement
- Decreased the play size for no movement bugs
- Updated the main screen with more buttons

- Casual and multiplayer is being made and is already a button in the main screen
- bug fix for the indications on bots when they are hidden
- increased play size with limitations for no movement bugs
- added a locator compass for easier enemy location
- Two movement keys gives you speed boost (bc I’m too lazy to spend an hour trying to fix this “bug”)
- Added sounds for every action (except walking, which may or may not be added)
- new weapon in sandbox
- main menu music
- Fixed New version
- Ranged nerfed from 1 dmg to 0.5 dmg
- Fixed the health on the second bot

I think I know what he is referring to. I click certain blocks, and everything does freeze and all the blocks don’t work anymore. I try to press the flag and nothing happens either (also the flag does indicate that it has been clicked). I think it usually happens if you try to click the blocks inside the block storage and not the editing mode.
Also, when I’m playing the games, I’ve realized that the “when I start as clone” does not highlight when I do an action that’s supposed to highlight it, even though it still works. It does highlight, however, when I click it inside the editing mode.

@info-creaticode , more accurately, he has been posting pictures of plushies, that are not related to his coding, in almost every single post. It is getting annoying and makes it feels like his posts aren’t serious. Can you take action if this escalates or continues despite warnings?

@dezz-nuts What you an do is use a variable instead of the built-in clone ID system.
For example:
set [variable] to 0;
repeat [number] times {
change [variable] by 1;
create clone of myself;
}Afterwards, you can say:
when I start as clone {
if ([var] = 1) {
[action]
} else if ([var] = 2) {
[action]
} …
}
and so onIf you don’t understand I can simplify it

@info-creaticode This might work, but I’ve never used tables before, I usually just use lists and variables. I’d have to figure out how they work.

@info-creaticode The first option is interesting. Here is the set-up I have right now
(Things are heavily subjected to change)

All of this took ~500 blocks of code
So what you’re describing is basically numerical characterization? e.g. 1 = can walk through, 2 = wall, 3 = destination, etc.

I have to make pathfinder nodes (I’ve used ~15 nodes just for one thing out of possibly 9 different segments so each clone can navigate to different rooms) so my clones can figure out where to go. This is really time consuming and takes a lot of blocks (I barely have anything done and already one of the sprites have roughly 800 blocks in it and most of that comes from AI navigation).
