So you guys know ragdolls and things like that? I was thinking we could create a rig extension for creaticode. What this does is it creates a customizable rig and places it as a single sprite in your game. This rig can then have animations added, as well as motion controls. You can customize the individual sprites for each part of the rig, making it easy to make it your own. It’s sort of like the 3d avatars, but you can customize them. This would be easier to use instead of having to worry about like 10 individual sprites for the player, and is useful for when you want a realistic character, but don’t want to take up so many sprite slots.

RE: WARNING ABOUT STORING SENSITIVE DATA IN PROJECTSposted in General Discussion
@jeffreyrb03-gmail Why not put the authentication log in code inside the my block? What i mean is like this. The person goes to the log in screen, which triggers the my block, and asks them to put in their username and password, then it let’s them in.

Blocksposted in Help
What would be really nice are 5 blocks.
Behave as water
This block makes the selected object act like a wavy carpet.Make 3D terrain
Really nice for survival games, have a block version, and a smoother version for more realistic survival.Make 2d terrain
Some settings would be either 1d terrain, or top down terrain2D pathfind
makes the sprite path find around another sprite until it touches the sprite it’s pathfinding to, useful for making better chase games.
3d pathfind
about the same as the 2d path find block.
If you can make these, reply with
if not, type
i’ll understand if you can’t. -

@dreamsmp_luck I would love a 3d costume editor. makes my life so much easier without having to deal with about 1000 blocks related to making a plane.

Foldersposted in Help
So. Folders. The best organization tool this side of move 10 steps river. (That’s stupid i won’t make any more jokes like that) Why are they not in creaticode? I used them in my dodger game that i made on penguinmod, and my doorman game that i never got to finish. I’m making a character rig with about 10 sprites, so if we can have folders, i’d be a happy coder. Please?

RE: Problem while uploading a scratch projectposted in Help
@tao hmmm. im not exactly sure. maybe the poject was beefy for scratch, and it ran slower, meaning you timed everything around it, creaticode was more beefy, and now it runs faster?

@tao maybe the project was running at 15 fps and it bu*ped up to 30?

@jamesa-blackwell-57b383d3 btw, i also have another post where i talk about various blocks to make it easier to make games. For instance, Behave as water. this makes the plane or block or sphere act like a wavy carpet with procedurally generated waves, or Make into terrain. this block pretty much just spawns terrain. you can select which texture to use, and the terrain is infinite, generating in chunks. for the 3d part. for the 2d version, it just creates a piece of terrain as wide as the viewport. speaking of which, can they make the actual stage size infinite?

@tao they quite literally said, “It’s a k-12 platform. i don’t think our audience will be able to understand it.” K-12. they are talking about kindergarteners who are learning the world for the first time, all the way to 12 graders, who can probably make an indie game on this site. i have a feeling most people who use this platform would love these features. i know i would. The 3d costume editor would be a gamechanger, since i have no clue how to use blender, or make quality models for use in tinkercad. The rigging and animation parts of it would be a game changer, allowing us to make animations not preloaded on models in the library.

RE: Features that would make it easier to make games.posted in Feedback
@jamesa-blackwell-57b383d3 you could make your own easier to use system. you did implement 3d editing into it without people needing to learn a new system. it’s splashed across your front page. Blender is often used, but have you seen how many controls there are? it’s ridiculous. and i’d like to make my own 3d animations, because i want to make a parkour game, and none of your avatars fit the thing im going for, the user avatars and models only work if they’re mine, and the preloaded animations are really bad. So please. just implement these features, and make tutorials for them on the platform’s forum. you’ve already made tutorials for adding sketchfab and tinkercad models, just make tutorials for the editors and all of that. When i said custom 3d objects in my first post, i meant custom physics objects. You could make various objects in the editor, and connect them with joints, like in tinkercad.
