Bot Test update log :D

Oh man, I’m so glad to announce that after almost a month, Bot Test has officially reached BETA VERSION!
Updates for Ver. 1.0-1.1 will be listed here:
- Sandbox mode is added, along with an early access gun in the sandbox (press Z)
- free enemy spawning in sandbox mode
- New enemy is added: ranged
– Ranged may be nerfed to 0.5dmg instead of 1.0dmg. - Endless now has two modes, new version and old version
– The new version features everything added in beta and continuing
– Old version will remain the OG 0.9 version of the game - Added sounds for many of the actions that occur in the game
- Added foreground for seeable movement
- Decreased the play size for no movement bugs
- Updated the main screen with more buttons
- Casual and multiplayer is being made and is already a button in the main screen
- bug fix for the indications on bots when they are hidden
- increased play size with limitations for no movement bugs
- added a locator compass for easier enemy location
- Two movement keys gives you speed boost (bc I’m too lazy to spend an hour trying to fix this “bug”)
- Added sounds for every action (except walking, which may or may not be added)
- new weapon in sandbox
- main menu music
- Fixed New version
- Ranged nerfed from 1 dmg to 0.5 dmg
- Fixed the health on the second bot

- The bot turns invisible forever and cannot be hit since its hidden, therefore soft locking (this happened to me once in hard, endless)
- You can hold W and D or A to move 2x as fast. just moving sideways also.
- It is easy to run away from the bot (not a bug)
- Sometimes the bot will spin around in circles, as if you shadow cloned around him, before turning back to you.
So far, the game looks great! Just a few bugs though.

Do you mean this?
If so that is because the bot either hasn’t spawned yet (ranged enemy spawns on round 5 for the new version) or won’t spawn.
(p.s. I think I fixed this)
I’m also trying to fix the ranged zombie’s detection bug

IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION:
Sorry to say, but the new version of Bot Test is bugged past round 5 and may not be fixable (I’ve spent an hour and a half trying to find the issue and still can’t find it)

@011830-0a42ef84 No, I meant that the bot literally vanished (hide block); I played for another 2 minutes and couldn’t find the bot (This was before you said you think you fixed it, so it might be fixed)

@jd131111 I will add enemy indicators to locate them easier if that works for you?

@011830-0a42ef84 Yes, that would probably be better, maybe an arrow that will point to where it is, and when you get closer it gets smaller, then vanishing when you see the bot or the bot sees you.

@jd131111 I added a compass to the game so the enemies can be located easier (I couldn’t add a pointer because I didn’t really know how : P)

I am happy to announce that the New Version of Bot Test is fixed!!! You can now experience the “slightly” better version that includes the new bot, which will soon be accompanied by a weapons shop, powerups, abilities (maybe), skins, trails, and so much more! Thank you for the support in my making of this game!
Edit: Note that the New version is only fixed in the test room and will be moved to the actual game when I get enough songs. (thank you @mod-squadacademy-1bc96c56 for the pixabay songs. I will look at them soon.)

Hello guys! Heads up on my updates: version(s) 1.0-1.1 is done, and now it is in the next stage!
Updates for Ver. 1.12-1.2 will be listed here:
(note that the game hasn’t moved yet to the original version and is still in the test room. It will be moved soon, once all the music is added)- made the enemies’ boundaries the same as the player
- Heavily updated tutorial
- made the machine gun mag size from 30 to 45
- Fixed the “invincible player” bug
- added credits to each song played
- added 5 new songs (test room), will add titles to each soon.

@mod-squadacademy, (or anyone who reads this), Do you have any ideas for the gamemode “casual” I will make (see https://forum.creaticode.com/topic/1848/song-ideas-for-the-main-screen-of-my-game-bot-test/12 for more info.)? If not, do you have any other suggestions for what I could add? I have one more month to complete this game fully and I’m struggling to come up with ideas.

@the_true_odst What is the pace of the mode? Is it fast paced, medium, or really slow?

@the_true_odst Well, whatever you use is up to you. I do know (without any context on what you want to use) that L’Orchestra Cinematique do an epic version of In the Hall of the Mountain King. Just keep in mind that’s not royalty-free.
