RE: Why can't I edit my game?posted in Help
@helloperson91412 If all else fails, you can use an unlisted* YouTube video you’ve uploaded and share it with us.
That works the same as what you’re trying to do.
*You don’t have to publish it if you don’t want to, you can share it unlisted

My Just One Boss Trilogyposted in Project Showcase
I am making a Just One Boss trilogy where you quite literally fight a diety. If anyone wants to play, I’ll send the links through here:

(Mind you, it’s pretty difficult)

RE: Why can't I edit my game?posted in Help
@helloperson91412 You can’t send videos (if I recall)
To fix this, you can make your mp3/mp4 file into a GIF and send it through here; that works

@info-creaticode Okay, thank you so much! I’ll try this feature out when I get the chance.

RE: Problem while uploading a scratch projectposted in Help
@jamesa-blackwell-57b383d3 Again, I ran this project inside of turbowarp as well, and it worked the same as the original scratch.
-
RE: Problem while uploading a scratch projectposted in Help
Also, this issue doesn’t happen on other platforms.
I used turbowarp to see if this same issue occured (since it might have just been the delay on my computer), but it ran the same way.

Problem while uploading a scratch projectposted in Help
When I imported a scratch project I made a couple days ago onto this platform, everything moved extremely fast, a lot faster than the original scratch project.
This heavily messed up timing, broadcasts, and variable changes at specific times. Can you please try to find a solution to this?
Thank you.

@tao That’s cool! I’d love to see some screenshots if you have any and are willing to share them

I moved my Creaticode game(s) to the side (mainly because our school blocked it) so I’m moving back on scratch to create exponentially easier projects.

RE: it feels like you are ignoring me.posted in Help
@jamesa-blackwell-57b383d3 I’m not sure, mainly because I don’t use 3D code nor “rigs”.
If what you’re implying is a way to make ragdoll physics, this would be really good because I want to make a climbing game
Also, seeing as how Creaticode is now back, they are probably taking your ideas into suggestion and implementing it any way they can (if they deem it a good idea to make)

RE: Block Suggestionposted in General Discussion
@joshuakenny1411-0c86dd08 There is a block that is not just “go back” or “go front”:
go [forward v] (1) layers / (go forward [number] layers)
Along with that, there is also a layer number block so you can keep track of the layer for every sprite.
As long as you know what layer belongs to what sprite, you should be able to use this block to determine where each sprite should go on the layers.

RE: it feels like you are ignoring me.posted in Help
@jamesa-blackwell-57b383d3 @info-creaticode likely hasn’t been checking the forum lately. I reason this is because of the major decrease in forum activity. Please give it some time, what you requested does not require immediate attention

@s326035-2c075a7c Can you clarify how you got this page? This happens many different ways and can usually be because a user has not shared their game.

RE: What is score and how do you get it?posted in Help
Hi, @helloperson91412,
I could be wrong, especially since he (the user you screenshotted) doesn’t appear to have any playable games, but I’m pretty sure score is for when your game gets favorited/liked (and/or remixed).
Again, I don’t know.
Edit: After further “investigation” (aka looking at your games) it could be no one has rewarded you a point (the third box that says “reward point” on your profile: https://play.creaticode.com/users/68c09ba751f244b6b1207eec)
To figure this out, I tried rewarding a point through both methods. It may take a bit to process but we should be able to see soon

Hey guysposted in General Discussion
For those of you who know me, I will probably be online a lot more during the summer to work on my games that were previously discontinued because of school work and mental relief.
I checked in with the forum every once and a while and noticed it go down a lot (this same thing happened to another forum I was in on a music site), and that @info-creaticode hasn’t been communicating for a while.
I’m down to help since I’m the next best thing on here (I guess), so if you haven’t any (not too) complicated questions you don’t understand, feel free to ask. I’ll try to help the best I can when I have time.
Of course, if it’s troubleshooting about bugs or Creaticode only type confusion, I sadly can’t help with that.

RE: Interesting questionposted in Help
@dan36 Again, I believe. I have experience from other platforms that filter symbols that look similar to other words. out using AI filters. Some have it, some don’t. You would have to experiment. My suggestion is to both do it manually (any obvious words or phrases that people try to work around) and with AI
-
RE: Interesting questionposted in Help
@dan36 It’s the same with manual censoring. I could even argue using manual censoring would be worse since people can bypass words by using symbols instead of letters. AI can filter these out easier.
-
RE: Interesting questionposted in Help
@dan36 Instead of manually censoring words, you should use the built-in AI blocks to automatically filter words for you. That way, you don’t miss any potential words that can be used.

RE: copy and paste bug in the editorposted in Feedback
@dan36 Depending on the size of the object and how far you’re zoomed, this isn’t always the case. And plus, it’s still a major issue even with that “reset”. I have to copy it twice, drag both objects to where I want it, making sure the bottom one is at the right position, copy the top one, paste it into the next costume, go back to the original costume to copy it again, paste it again, and so on.

copy and paste bug in the editorposted in Feedback
When I paste a sprite in a different costume, the object isn’t where it originally was when it was copied. This makes hіtboxes and specific animations really difficult to make. Could you perhaps fix this?

Removing Broadcastsposted in Feedback
Since there is a feature that removes variables that are no longer needed in the script or accidentally created, can we do the same for broadcasts? There are many times where I end up making a broadcast that I no longer need because there is usually a better method.
Thank you.

RE: Explore page update had me questioning stuffposted in Help
@info-creaticode How strict is this AI moderation system? The new game I’m making (remastering my old Undertale game) will contain minor gore visuals that isn’t suitable for <13 of age but is for >13.
(Also, the original Undertale is E10+ for its maturity rating, and I’m adapting to the style of it)

RE: hitbox and hurtboxsposted in Feedback
@info-creaticode @dezz-nuts If they’re saying they want the ring invisible, they can use the ghost function to make it invisible while still making the “touching sprite” function work.
-
RE: block request when I start clone advanceposted in Feedback
@dezz-nuts What you an do is use a variable instead of the built-in clone ID system.
For example:
set [variable] to 0;
repeat [number] times {
change [variable] by 1;
create clone of myself;
}Afterwards, you can say:
when I start as clone {
if ([var] = 1) {
[action]
} else if ([var] = 2) {
[action]
} …
}
and so onIf you don’t understand I can simplify it
-
RE: hello I need help making code that make dezznutsposted in Help
@dezz-nuts Use an extra sprite to detect if the one you want to keep in the area is touching it.
For example:
if [sprite] is touching [object] {
go to x, y
// stop all movement code
} -

@info-creaticode Assuming the AI gets a project filtered wrong during the review process, can they contact creaticode for personal review?

-
RE: Hello? i wanted some blocks a bit ago. Any progress?posted in Help
@info-creaticode This might work, but I’ve never used tables before, I usually just use lists and variables. I’d have to figure out how they work.
-
RE: Hello? i wanted some blocks a bit ago. Any progress?posted in Help
@info-creaticode The first option is interesting. Here is the set-up I have right now
(Things are heavily subjected to change)

All of this took ~500 blocks of code
So what you’re describing is basically numerical characterization? e.g. 1 = can walk through, 2 = wall, 3 = destination, etc.
-
RE: Hello? i wanted some blocks a bit ago. Any progress?posted in Help
@jamesa-blackwell-57b383d3 said in Blocks:
2D pathfind
makes the sprite path find around another sprite until it touches the sprite it’s pathfinding to, useful for making better chase games.I agree with this a lot, mainly since the new game I’m making has a lot of walls. I have to make pathfinder nodes (I’ve used ~15 nodes just for one thing out of possibly 9 different segments so each clone can navigate to different rooms) so my clones can figure out where to go. This is really time consuming and takes a lot of blocks (I barely have anything done and already one of the sprites have roughly 800 blocks in it and most of that comes from AI navigation).

RE: Similar Table (clone) Glitch againposted in Help
Update, I fixed this issue by rephrasing the script differently:
when green flag clicked
forever
if <key [z v] pressed?> then
wait until <not <key [z v] pressed?>> … -
Similar Table (clone) Glitch againposted in Help
No one else view the game except for @info-creaticode please
So I double-proofed this bug to make sure it wouldn’t glitch, but it still doesn’t. Here’s the picture:

Happy New Year everyone!posted in General Discussion
I’m a bit late, mainly because I thought I wouldn’t ever come back on here, BUT!
With a new year comes new resolutions!!!
I’m making a new game called Prison Simulator (I understand clones now YESSSSS… kinda)
I’m going to be finishing Undertale: Last Resort. I’m not joking. Btw if you’re new, SERIOUSLY go check that out: https://play.creaticode.com/projects/68cb4cbdf8e2996ebfc193ca

Regarding Creaticode's new "13+ Projects" featureposted in Feedback
What is the range when you mean “13+”? May it include themes that are or may be mature, with minor/moderate themes of blood, minor language (like stupid, crаp), and/or cartoon violence?
Additionally, I suggest that games like Plants vs. Zombies (PvZ) in Creaticode better fit the 9+ rating (or lower than 12) due to their unrealistic nature and arguably humorous scenes.
I grew up with themes that would be considered 13+ when I was younger than what was required. I still assume those themes would fit a “younger audience”?
–
Could you grant categories of safe (themes that fit all ages), moderate (themes that fit 13+, as you’ve established), and restricted (not allowed to publish onto your platform)?

@sirbots Many schools, including mine, blocked this site and so we couldn’t communicate. I’ve found a way around this so I may be on, I may not be.

RE: Possible hackerposted in Feedback
@info-creaticode Yes, but I have actually created a test (this is privated) that can return stats like this
It was just a test, and isn’t actually malicious, but this could possibly be expanded
(t button is pressed after second run)
(It can also send txt files into your computer)

(Note, the first two questions were for show, and didn’t actually do anything to your computer)
I don’t know if this could be potentially threatening, but this was only a test and I’m not sure if it can be used further than this.

Possible hackerposted in Feedback
There’s a person who made a game that tries to get your location.
This is the game:
https://play.creaticode.com/projects/68dfd705b8fda4381ff74086
This is a comment that peaked my interest that I think @info-creaticode will find interesting.
“Basically, they create a block that does something like this, // This block will get the user’s current latitude and longitude // and then fetch detailed geo information, storing it in ‘myGeoData’ table. get geo info for latitude latitude longitude longitude and write into table myGeoData // After this block runs, your ‘myGeoData’ table will be filled //with properties like ‘country’, ‘city’, ‘state’, etc., and their values. You can find this, by inspecting the code and finding the blocks, those are the blocks trying to obtain your location.”
