If you want to keep the database private, why not just publish the project? If you share the project, then it is supposed to be open, so anyone can access it, right?

Plus the downside of that request is people remixing it and seeing what it is.

When a project is shared, it is the same for every user, so you can’t really enforce privacy anymore.

If you share the project, it should be 100% shared, so a password lock does not seem to be appropriate.

This project of yours is pretty special, as you want to keep some secrets yet you need to allow users to look inside. Maybe a better solution is to have two projects, one for sharing the source code and the other (publish-only) project for submitting answers?
