What does set dominance group do in 2D physics

I have ideas on what it might do but I’m not sure exactly how it works, my main idea would have it be for combining multiple sprite objects into one object somewhat, but I haven’t been able to tell exactly what it does or if it does anything.

@info-creaticode thank you, that really clears up what I was thinking, I thought dominance groups had to do with collisions groups and I wondered why it was a number input without a drop down
