Right now, they just display as normal text but I’ve noticed that me, Tylerr, and @JD131111 use it even though it doesn’t work (I suppose as like a sort of testing thing and a hope that it’ll work in the future).

Could it be made so that “style” attributes and <span>, <b>, <div>, basically just styling tags will work in signatures? This would allow for more personalization of signatures and definitely make learning the markup syntax worth it with gradients and colors and all. It can’t be abused all that much but I would recommend blocking iframes, onclick attribute, and scripts within the signatures since that can increase page load times by alot and potentially be used for trolling. And possibly viruses or something, since bots do occasionally come here and spam advertise their services.

It doesn’t appear that our version of nodeBB supports this at the moment. Sorry.

@jeffreyrb03-gmail My siggy is actually just the html tags for my signature (in view source if you find the siggy it’s the tags that wrap it) plus what my “actual” siggy is inside those tags (telling ppl to not use forums as a chatroom)

<div component="post/signature" data-uid="255" class="post-signature">Check out my chat room project so you ppl can not use forums as chat rooms! https://play.creaticode.com/projects/66f2e1dcd1be43d82b886fbd?version=1 <p dir="auto">
