What's the "horror" limit?
-
I’m going to make a horror game on Creaticode, what’s the limit on violence and stuff?
-
Please keep it appropriate for schools.

What about stereotypical horror? -
That’s very broad. Can you give an example?

Basically, the story is about a “supernatural hunter.” One request was to find the death of a member in the reporter"s family (member not yet decided) and you have to find the culprit within the so called “haunted” house. The game is gonna be technically classic, kind of like 8-bit type movement. (even though it is not pixel sprites) -

I have a few questions on what I may or may not be able to add:- Can I do anything about religion? (crosses, rituals, etc)
- Is any blood or any ghost types aloud? (phantoms, demons, poltergeists, etc)
- If anything is over the limit, can I add 13+ warning? (or any type of age limit needed)
-
Our users can be as young as first graders, so please keep it appropriate for them. If you suspect it might not be suitable for young users, we would suggest not creating such projects. We want to keep our platform a healthy and safe environment for K-12 students to learn coding.

@info-creaticode Ok,
what about settings? could I add a “turn off” setting on multiple options so it is less violent? I’m not going to make it really violent, it’s mainly just for scares and other things.
The gameplay overall isn’t going to be that scary. It will be more of adventure than horror. -
That sounds fun and appropriate. Thanks for checking.

@info-creaticode Just for final checks,
I am able to add a toggleable “violence” option? Also, am I allowed to add jump scares and/or 'scary" entities within the game?(The violence won’t be too severe, it may just mainly be more difficult and scarier)

That should be fine. thanks for checking
