Can't add backdrops to stage

I have a couple of students who are trying to work independently and they cannot add a backdrop to the stage. We have tried all different methods with no luck.
I just tried it on my “teacher computer” and I could add the backdrop. So, possible the backdrops come from a different server (and our district firewall is blocking them for the students)?

Can you please share a screenshot from your student? Is the backdrop added to the stage (in the backdrop tab) or not? That would tell us where is the issue. Thank you

Yo creaticode are y’all able to fix this cause this is kinda driving me crazy! I never thought that a backdrop not showing up caused problems, epecially trying to make a video game and a bug like this happening.

Please try again. We made a fix. It appears to be related to some of the new add-ons. You might want to try to disable the add-ons. If this issue still occurs even with no add-on enabled, please share a project with this issue, and we will investigate further. Thank you.

@info-creaticode I have a request- and I think this would be helpful for you. Is it possible to make changes in a sandbox and leave the stable software running for users? I think you would be better off letting a few beta testers try everything out before you release changes to the wild. I really like the concept you came up with and I would love to continue to use this software with my students, but there have been multiple problems and the students just feel that the software is too unreliable to invest a lot of effort in.

Noted. Our platform has not been very stable lately due to some new features and bug fixes. We are going to reduce the number of releases and implement more testing, and we will invest much more time to ensure stability of the platform.
