    Prerequisite

    • Introduction to Diagrams
    • Using Text in Diagrams

    Introduction

Sticky notes are small text boxes for taking notes.

To add a sticky note, you can click the sticky notes button 67734879-4d52-4dad-ab14-79021e26d8ef-image.png on the the tool bar, pick a color, then click anywhere on the board. After that, you can start typing into the note.

    Resizing a Sticky Note

As you type more words into a sticky note, the text size will automatically change to fit into the note. If the text becomes too small, you can drag the sticky note bigger.

    Adding Many Sticky Notes

Sometimes we need to add many empty sticky notes, so that many users can type into them at the same time. There is a very easy way to do this.

    • First, add one sticky note.
    • Second, with that note selected, press CTRL + D on the keyboard (press down the CTRL key, then press the D key). Every time you release the D key and press it again, another sticky note will be added. The board will zoom out if new notes are added outside the view.

    Arranging Sticky Notes

When there are many stick notes, you can select all of them, and drag the small arrange button 5ae172d8-a812-4543-bf41-293d9d959d3e-image.png to the right of the selection box to arrange them into multiple rows. You can also use the white circles on the corners to resize all of them.

    Example: A Quick Vote

You can use sticky notes to carry out a vote among a group of people. Suppose some students are voting for the next project to work on. You can add some text labels on the top, then ask each student to add his own name as a sticky note under one of these labels.

    Example: Brainstorming

Another common way of using sticky notes is to brainstorm. One or multiple people can quickly write down a lot of new ideas, then they can pick their favorite ideas among them.
