    What is a Costume?

A costume is an image that shows what a Sprite looks like.
For example, a sprite may have a happy face and an angry face.

    Sprites can have Multiple Costumes

A Sprite can have multiple costumes. Some sprites have pre-designed costumes in CreatiCode and some do not.
For example, here are four different costumes of Pico.

    Selecting a Costume from Gallery

To select a Sprite’s costume from Gallery, select the sprite and then click on the “Costumes” option in the Editor. The Costume Editor window will open up.
Click on “Choose a Costume” option from the Green bulb button on the bottom left of the Costume window.
The Costume Gallery will open up for you to choose any costume for your sprite.

Choosing Which Costume is Shown on Stage

To choose the current costume which is shown on Stage, simply select the sprite from the “Sprite pane” or from the Stage. Click on the “Costume” option in Editor, the Costume editing window will open up.
Now simply select any costume from the left and it will be shown on Stage.

    Editing a Costume

You can easily edit the costume of a Sprite by using the tools in the “Costume” window in the Editor.
Use the “Select” tool to select any part of the Costume or the whole Costume. Use the “Fill” tool to change or fill color. Draw with the “Brush” or “Line” tool. Add new Shapes or Text and use the “Eraser” to remove any mistakes.

    Renaming a costume

You can change the name of a costume by selecting the costume from Gallery. Click on the “Costume” name option, type a new name and press “Enter” from Keyboard to save it.

    Deleting a costume

Deleting a costume is same as deleting a Sprite. You have to click on the “Trash bin” on the costume’s icon and it will be removed.
