To add a new/ blank costume, you have to click the “Paint” option in the Costumes Gallery.
You can add or paint as many costumes as you want.
You can easily draw on a costume by using the Editing tools in the Costume Window.
To draw different Geometrical shapes, you can use the “Circle”, “Rectangle”, “Triangle”, “Curve”, “Arrow”, “Pentagon”, “Hexagon” and “Octagon” Tools.
To Draw straight lines you can use the “Line” tool.
“Brush” tool is the best if you want to do Free-hand drawing.
And “Erase” tool is there to help you get rid of any mistakes.
Here is how these tools work;
In the Costume editing window, you will find two options for Coloring, Fill and Outline.
“Fill Color” is the color of the inside shape, and “Outline Color” is the color of the Border or Outline of the Shape.
To change the Fill or Outline color of any shape/drawing, you have to select the shape first and then change the color by sliding the horizontal bar.
Here is how it works;
Within the “Fill” and “Outline” color options, you will find three different settings, “Color”, “Saturation” and “Brightness”.
And there are two other options of “No Fill” and “Pick Color from Drawing”.
The “Color” setting lets you choose any color by sliding the horizontal bar.
With the “Saturation” setting, you can change the intensity of the color.
You can slide the horizontal bar towards left to get a lighter shade of color, and slide it towards right to get a brighter shade of color.
With the “Brightness” setting you can change how Light or Dark you want the color to be.
You can select the “No Fill” option to make a shape empty inside (so only the outline is shown).
With the “Color Picker” tool, you can click any point in the costume to use that point’s color.
The “Flip horizontal” tool turns the sprite’s face from “right to left” or “left to right”.
Every time you click on the “flip horizontal” tool, the sprite will turn its face towards left or right.
The “Flip vertical” tool turns the sprite up and down.
Every time you click on the “flip vertical” tool, the sprite will turn upside-down.
Note: The direction of the sprite does not change if you flip it horizontally or vertically.
“Stroke Width” is a tool to change the thickness of a shape’s outline.
You can draw or select any shape and then click on the up and down arrows right next to stroke width to change the thickness of its outline.
Note: The value of thickness can be changed from “0” (minimum) to “100” (maximum).
The “Text” tool is used to add text in a sprite’s costume.
You have to select the text tool, click anywhere in the costume editor window and then type the text.
You can change the font of your text by clicking on the font drop-down menu.
The “Reshape” tool is used to change a shape and add curves to it.
You have to first select the shape which you want to change, then click and drag the small blue circles on that shape to add curves.
