Newline?

Hello! I’m trying to replace certain characters with a newline using \\n and it seems to work; however, it leaves a stray ‘\’.

Example:
Apples\
Bananas\
Orange

Is there a way this can be fixed?

I also tried it with a string of just “hello&&this&&is&&an&&example” and it gives back:

hello\
this\
is\
an\
example
