The Grid Material

The grid material gives an object a clean and futuristic look. It is commonly used to create grounds.
To apply the grid material to any object, you can use this block:
You can set the color of the surface and the lines using the first 2 color selection inputs. Note that the face color’s transparency value will be ignored, but you set the line color’s transparency. And when the lines are transparent, the face color will be fixed at 92% transparent.
You can control the spacing between the lines using the density value. When it is 1, it means one line every 100 units. A higher density value will reduce the line spacing, thus generating more lines; a lower density value will produce fewer lines.
There can be 2 types of lines: major lines and minor lines. The “minor line visibility” input controls the transparency of the minor lines relative to the major lines. By default, the minor lines are only 33% thick compared to the major lines. you set this value to 100%, then the minor lines will look the same as the major lines.
You can shift the position of the lines by an absolute distance in each of the X/Y/Z directions. As shown in this example, suppose we want the major lines to appear on the edges of the box, will need to shift the lines by half of the edge length, which is 500.
