There are also some pretty cool color fonts in Google Fonts if you guys want to add those:
To fix this, you guys just need to offer a font “‘Comic Sans’, ‘Comic Sans MS’, cursive” for comic sans and “‘whatever cursive font you guys want to use’, cursive”. This will fix it by using the actual Comic Sans instead of “cursive” and will show a cursive font when you actually want cursive text. Its a good and simple fix that isn’t too complicated.

Like Jua is available for widgets but isn’t for costumes. Adding normal/generic fonts would also be great too, like

You are referring to the “set text style” block in widget, right?

Is there a list of all the new fonts that you would like to add? @s9205307-810c679a @jeffreyrb03-gmail

When they add the feature it’s not going to become outdated or anything because the SVG images already support them, it’s just CreatiCode uses the Scratch costume editor, which doesn’t give all the possible options for fonts. CC also didn’t adjust that part to contain the fonts they already have in widgets:

It would be epic if I could use “Luckiest Guy” in costumes

I’d also like to add that you can do this with widgets a tiny bit by bypassing the dropdown with a variable or just a block that returns itself:

It supports all of the current fonts loaded, as well as fonts on the user’s system that’s already installed, for example, Microsoft windows (and Apple maybe) most definitely has Calibri, but if it doesn’t then it’ll try Roboto (which Google supports), and if that isn’t supported, then it will use Arial, which every single system has.
It also supports the Scratch font if you just put “Scratch”

It would be easier if they just put it in the dropdown so I don’t have to use a hack, but it is neat that you can use fonts on the user’s system instead of it being super restrictive or straightfoward.

And for using them in normal costumes/backdrops, I assume you mean the fonts in this list:

Well, that can also be bypassed with a custom SVG

But yeah it’d be like a million times easier if they just put it in the normal list so that we don’t have to use a bypass
